Surface Sand Leaves Bark Grass Flag | Prediction I think that the water will lay on top of the sand and then after a while it will absorb. I think that the water will just fall through the holes and cracks in the leaf. I think that the water will absorb right into the bark and it will dry pretty fast. I think that the water won't absorb into the grass and that it will stay in little drops. I think that the water will will sink through the piece of fabric. | Actual The water actually absorbed the second it touched the sand. My prediction was wrong. The water actually just stayed in little drops on the leaf. When you tipped the leaf on it's side all of the water fell off. The water did absorb right into the bark but it did still stay really wet and didn't dry for a while. The water didn't absorb into the grass but it didn't stay in little drops, it collected into big "puddles". The water sank right through it and made the piece of fabric really wet. | Reflection I thought it was really cool that the water just absorbed right away. I just didn't expect that to happen. I thought it was really interesting that the water stated in little drops when you put it on the leaf. I thought that it was really cool that the water absorbed right into the wood. I thought that it was kind of weird that the water collected into little groups. I thought that it was weird that a little drop of water could make something that wet. |
Randy the Rain Drop
Hi. I'm Randy. I'm a raindrop. When I was little I was in the sky. I was sitting in the clouds floating around in the air. It was great! Then one day it got really dark outside. That was a little unusual. I started to fall. Down, Down, Down. I was in the air for a while and I was getting used to it. That was until I hit the hard road.
"Ow! That hurt!" I cried.
But nobody heard me. I started to roll down the path faster and faster. I was afraid. In front of me I saw a river. Uh oh!
