find all different kinds of good smells. It is a great way to meet
people and make friends in this new place. I found it hard to find someone to have me as their apprentice because I am new to the area. I bargained with them to try me for awhile to see if they liked my sense of workmanship. The deal was that I would work for them for three months and buy groceries with the money that I earned. In exchange, I could live in their house and do odd chores to make up the difference. After the three months if they liked me I could stay on as worker and stay at their house till I made money to move out. If they did not like me I would have to leave the shop and move on.
My first day in Boston was tough. I had to get used to the accent of the people around me. Everything was hard to find, since I did not know where to begin. People looked at me like I was a stranger and did not belong there. I tried to get an apprentice job, but my clothes looked strange to him and he would not let me work for him. I asked where the stores were and people didn't understand me and what I was asking for.
