Today, we decided what we would like to bring with us on the trail. We had to choose our wagon, and all the contents of it. I hope we will have enough food for us on the trail. They all say we will be able to shoot animals along the trail to eat. I hope that is so. I have learned the information about each wagon we were choosing from, like that the prairie schooner is small, but had a flat bed, so things were more likely to fall out. The conastoa wagon, on the other hand, didn't have a drivers seat, but it could carry 6 tons! The murphy wagon could kill oxen with it's weight, but it was very sturdy. It was hard to choose which wagon to use, but we finally decided on the prairie schooner. I hope we choose correctly. When we were choosing what to bring, I learned what a lot of different tools were. Like that a gimlet was a small drilling tool, and a kingbolt was the bolt that held the axles to the wheels. Now, we can only hope that we have enough supplies for our journey, and that all will go well.
