As you watch, Destination Mars, take notes on the goals of the first manned mission to Mars.
Also, answer the following questions while you watch:
Please add a picture at the end & give credit to its source. Write a blog entry called, "If the World Were a Village" and write about the following in paragraph format. (Don't respond to these questions individually. Incorporate them all into a paragraph.) Also, include an appropriate image of some sort that goes with what you are saying (and give credit).:
Add a picture that goes with what you wrote (be sure to give credit to your source!). "What was that bright light off in the distance?" I wandered forward to explore.
"Wait!" Michael whispered and grabbed my sleeve. "I see silhouettes." People had been saying for weeks they'd been seeing strange lights in the sky. Could the silhouettes be...? "Aliens!!!" I shouted! Michael and I bolted to camp, freaked out of our minds! The figures should have been getting smaller and farther away, but they were getting closer and bigger. "They're coming after us!" I screamed, nearly tripping over a tree stump! "Wait up you guys!" yelled Emma and Sadie. "Why are you running away from us?" Lesson 5 on Science Prime. Use an iPad to take a very short video of this activity. Upload it to YouTube. Embed it on this blog entry. Take screen shots of all of the questions and answers & put them on a blog entry entitled, "Moving Quickly to Prevent Harm." Then answer these questions as well: 1. Can you feel it when your pupils dilate? 2. Do you have any control over your pupils when they dilate? 3. What do we call this when a reflex happens without our control? 4. Why do our pupils get bigger in the dark and smaller in the light? 5. How does this reflex protect our eyes? Follow the directions from the HUMAN BODY UNIT blog under PRESENT.
Complete the activities & questions online (Science Prime - Lesson 4). Take screen shots and post them in your blog entry. Answer these questions in your blog entry: (These questions are for next year's class - you don't have to do these this year):
Reflection Questions:
Reflection Paragraph: Use the ideas from this web page to write a paragraph reflection about this lesson. Make sure that what you write helps me better understand what you learned and your experience during the activity.
Upload your graph. Then answer these questions with more than one sentence each.
(I originally had four questions here for you to answer, but I forgot about the ones from our book. Please answer these instead. If you already answered the original questions, Questions 1, 3, and 4 are listed below (2 was dropped).)
